Coming to Jones Road: A professional development workshop facilitated by Sharon Vatsky

Focusing on Faith Ringgold’s exhibition, Coming to Jones Road, museum educator and author Sharon Vatsky will share strategies for encouraging dialogue and engagement with works of visual art. These strategies help support the development of language skills while also deepening understanding of local history. Teachers will come away with ideas that are adaptable to the classroom, using simple materials and approaches that can be applied to many works of art. This workshop will be relevant to all grade levels and curriculum areas.
